    Very convenient software!

Helps my company solve many issues. We collect information from clients and employees. We conduct surveys and collect data. Very useful software. Helps form a common opinion, conduct analysis and analytics.

    🏁 Competitors: Survio

    · Marketing at Mobile Forms ·
A good beginners tool to start your digital transformation.

One of our customers said: Our small mining operation needed to go from paper based process to digital forms. At first, Google forms allowed us to use this Web-based platform that lets individuals and businesses of all sizes build customizable forms to conduct surveys and generate real-time response charts.

We saw that a small sample of our field workers quickly adopted the new way of working.

    Step 1: accomplished.

    Now unto step 2.

How do we deploy this unto our whole team? We needed email notifications, offline response collection when without wifi on the field. Our CIO and his director of operations needed deep data and trends analysis as well. Our inspectors, when doing their audits, needed to capture approx. 25 high definition pictures, some audio notes and a video which wasn't really possible with google forms.

So, we can 100% credit the use of google forms to our transition towards a paperless process, but as we navigated saashub.com a little more, we were able to discover a world of alternatives. We strongly suggest to start using google forms before undergoing a big implementation plan towards such enterprise level inspection tools like nspek or even cheaper solutions like prontoforms.

I am not sure if we would start with google's solution first if we would to do this digital transformation all over, but it did allow us to discover it's limits pretty quickly.

At some point, we needed custom fields and functions, and none of us was able to code, so the nSpek training that comes with the application definitely sets it's self apart, giving us full autonomy.

    🏁 Competitors: nSpek, ProntoForms
👍 Pros:    No sign up cost
    👎 Cons:    Customization|Customer support|Data protection and security|No video|No pictures

  • Building a simple Colour Picker from scratch
While working on reducing FormBlob's dependencies and browser package size, I wrote a lightweight version of a colour picker to replace react-color. I've published it as the open source library react-mui-color, though that has a dependency on Material UI. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
  • React Hook to Allow Undo/Redo
If you're looking to build no-code tools like FormBlob, one must-have feature is the ability to undo and redo actions. Why? Imagine you were working on an image-editing software and you made multiple changes to your canvas. After some time, you realise that what you had before looked much better than what you have now. You would undo your way back until you get to a stage you're satisfied with. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
  • How I got an A+ Security Grade on Mozilla Observatory (Part 1 - Netlify)
I will split the discussion in this article into two parts - one for https://formblob.com and another for https://build.formblob.com. This is because the main site is a static site built using Hugo and deployed on Netlify, while the form builder site is a React app deployed on AWS ECS behind an elastic load balancer (ELB). - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
  • Set up your own free online store complete with payments, order management and push notifications in 2 minutes
In Singapore, many home based businesses have sprouted during this period and I was hoping to be able to help out in some way. So I enhanced FormBlob with an order management flow and a simple store front template that helps users set up a fully functional online store complete with order management, payments and push notifications in 2 minutes. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
  • How to build a Login/Signup form with validation in 2 minutes in React
While straightforward, this process still involves a tedious set up of the fields array manually. I have built https://formblob.com — a commercial solution to construct the fields array in 2 minutes with drag and drop tools which you can then export into your own project. Alternatively, you can even build and deploy the form entirely on FormBlob and embed the form in your own domain. If you use this method, you... - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
