If you really have it made, like you're upper middle class, you can easily afford to sequester the amount of carbon you emit yearly for not much money. Wren is a "Benefit Corporation" (legal mission is both profit and positive impact) that aims to accept your money in exchange for doing something to offset your carbon footprint.
