Believe it or not, REinstall the MEGAsync application, then right-click the MEGA folder in the navigation pane and remove it. If you can't remove it like that, open the MEGAsync settings > Advanced tab > check the 'Don't show icons in the left pane of Windows Explorer' box. I tried downloading an unlocker program to see if maybe any processes were stalling it, but not even that could remove the file. I'm completely at a loss. I could just ignore the file for the rest of my life, but I'd really rather not with how concerningly broken it is. Source: about 1 year ago
