Hey guys, my best friend got ripped of by his step-brother. He set up a Bitpanda Account and bought 90k of ETH then changed the password to the exchange. But didnt changed the password to his email-account. And thats when the shitshow started, the Step-brother changed the Password to the Email, got log-in credentials to the exchange and sent ALL of it to another Wallet on Freewallet.org. After much frustration and trial and error I set up the 2FA authentication, which is an option on the security tab on freewallet.org. You will need to download google authenticator to do this. After I did this I no longer needed email verification to withdraw/exchange coins! Problem solved. Source: almost 3 years ago

Next thing to have is a hard wallet if you haven’t already like a Ledger or a Trezor and let it sit there. That’s the safest thing to do! Also, there’s always been a risk of KYC (Know Your Customer) on CEXes as mentioned several times.
