I've been using youtube-dl for years. And https://freetubeapp.io/ is amazing. But what I really want is right in the gui where the video is playing being able to mark timecode1,timecode2 and then download just that small clip. I use FreeTube also. This is what I am using on my Mac. They have the app for Windows, MacOSx64, and various Linux OSs. No app for iOSs but maybe if we support him he may want to go further. On my Android tablet and phone I am using Grayjay, which also is another alternative. Source: 7 months ago

That can be annoying. Do you see them on Flipboard or when you navigate to the actual website of the article? If that's the case, then it would be up to the website that is hosting the article. I would recommend a good popup/ad blocker like adblock plus. Source: about 1 year ago
