Hey! You can find plenty of free furniture at FreeCycle I've donated plenty of furniture in the past. I'd say the hardest thing is to move it around, maybe you can arrange it, in some cases you're lucky that the furniture is small enough, or the owner drops it at yours, etc. Good luck! If you're just shopping around / looking for comparatives, then sites like apartments.com, and https://sfbay.craigslist.org/ are good for getting an overview, keeping in mind they have a bit of a bias in their numbers as they only compare / show what they have so using at least two sites to get a "baseline" would be best.
