So you're playing two totally different kinds of game rules on either one. I personally prefer how they've taken the time-tested classic freeciv and conservatively improved it, at freecivweb.org. FPGA's, PCB design, and autorouting are the extent of my non-native engineering applications and I don't play too many games, but I would say that BG3 works really well and they even have a native port :) and Civ VI works well.
