Foswiki mentions (4)

  • Making a Company Directory
Use FOSWiki. It's best suited for a corporate intranet, but has a learning curve. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Software for an organization, think 'teams' and 'sharepoint'
The best software around is FOSWiki, which is an enterprise wiki with numerous plugins, eg for taking meeting notes, setting up workflows, searching, appending files to wiki pages, etc. The only drawback is that it comes as a blank page, but there are foswiki consultants available for this job. • Does anyone else create cooking "plans" before a large meal? What's that called?
I host my own instance of https://foswiki.org/ on my home linux box. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Recommendations: Standard Compliance Audit software
Use an enterprise wiki with forms and workflows. A lot of work to customise the system, but if you use FOSwiki, you can use pattern matching queries to extract the standards from the text of a page (eg from documentation), having the advantage that whenever you edit the documentation, the standards (and questions) change automatically ;-) You should think about versioning, though. JoinDiaspora mentions (7)

  • How can I recover my profile in Diaspora?
You know they sunset the joindiaspora.com domain, right? There’s a lot happening, and maybe there’s a ripple effect on your pod. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Federated Networks Association ry dissolving, Joindaispora.com and friendica.feneas.org shutting down
Among those are https://joindiaspora.com, among the earlier and larger Diaspora* instances, dating to 2011, and https://friendica.feneas.org which may have substantial user content. I've inquired about other potentially affected services as well. Gitlab, Matrix, Ethernet, and Nextcloud instances are also involved. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Bookwyrm's Bower Librarians & Tablet Keepers Here
I'm sorry to see Discord cancelled. How about trying something decentralized next time? Maybe Mastodon (https://mastodon.online/about) or Diaspora (https://joindiaspora.com/). Source: over 2 years ago
  • Another step towards decentralizing Twitter and social media
    1) Marketed or viewed as something inferior. Eg. Diaspora (https://joindiaspora.com/) was killed the moment it was announced that it had received funding from Mark Zuckerberg. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • "For security reasons, your account has limited access to the site for a few days"
You're right. We are products to FB. We are sold to the highest bidder. If you want to avoid that, you need to look at the competition like https://joindiaspora.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
