   The software have been great. By far has the most customizable features of all its competitors

   We spent a long time looking for a product that could capture data online and offline, add logic and validation to the forms, empower our team to build their own questionnaires and also allow us to host the system in our own data center. We finally found form.com and the implementation was straight forwards and ongoing support has met our requirements as our userbase has grown.

• Ask HN: Why is hosting a contact form so difficult?

  This is just for my personal website. It is mostly the SPAM. I started with the usual simple `contact.php` that emails me when someone fills the form. Then for the longest time, Wufoo[1] (a hosted service) took care of my contact form but I could no longer deal with the spam. • Sending files from form submission to webhook?

  I built a form-to-email service like Formspree or Getform. My API accepts form submissions from the client, parses the request with formidable, and then sends the fields via email to the user. Any files submitted with the form are sent as attachments to the email. This way I never store the fields in my database or the files in something like AWS S3. Source: 10 months ago
