  • Just purchased a Form 3 and found that it cannot print dental resin any more
Not sure where you're looking at that at but the direct homepage the updated Form3 which is Form3+ is 2,499 retails. Ebay itself is a marketplace of individual sellers. What they value it as and see it as is up to them entirely. If you look at formlabs.com they don't sell the regular 3 or 2 anymore. Refurbish Form 3 is there but I'm sure thats the last of whatever is left in warehouse. Source: about 2 years ago
  • I bought a $14K staircase today and it came with a little example model
Or if you need very detailed models, their dlp printer is great too - but the leaders in the resin area are more formlabs (https://formlabs.com/). Resin printing is great for extremely detailed items, but it's generally more expensive and requires more time investment for the parts (prep and post-processing required) - but still definitely hobbyist/casual friendly. Rizél: So I did an internship at a company called Formlabs, and it's like a 3D printing startup. And then, after that, I already had another internship lined up at this company called Veson Nautical. And I ended up staying there and going full time. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago

  • 100% Water soluble resin?
No, but there are wax like resins that can be burned out with zero ash. https://formlabs.com/store/materials/castable-wax-resin/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I made an estradiol bracelet out of brass and rhinestones for myself.
Formlabs Form 2 printer with Formlabs Castable Wax resin. The resin is expensive (300$ a liter), but most pieces only take likse 5-15ml so it goes a looooong way even with supports. There are other more budget resin printers that are compatible with their own castable resin however, though I haven't tried them. I use the form 2 because its reliable and does 25nm prints (40 layers a mm), which makes a big big... Source: over 2 years ago
