  • Portfolio critique(trying to find a job)
Hi - I personally like your personal brand work and your Digimune piece. As a young designer, you're doing a good job of showing your thought process..if im looking for a mid-level designer thats what I'm looking for. The porfolio is a bit light...So I would use some off time to add personal projects. Some great tools out there can help you speed up the process. I use https://goodbrief.io/ on occasion to help me... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Finally started playing around with custom fonts (fallen into a bit of a rabbit hole lol)
Another cool one I found was Fontjoy, it tries to match fonts using ai. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking for a font to pair with Shrikhand
There is a neural network tool that is supposed to help you pair fonts: https://fontjoy.com/. I don't find it always works particularly well, but if you keep generating it can give you some ideas on which to pair with it (you can choose a font and lock it in). Source: about 1 year ago

  • Font Marketplace for commercial use?
H&Co is known for distributing their own fonts directly at typography.com and nowhere else. The site you linked that's offering it "free for personal use" is a pirate site. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Fixing a Font Family
Gotham is only sold at H&Co's website, typography.com. H&Co doesn't use any distributors. If you buy it there the files should link together properly as a font family. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Understanding "enterprise" spacing for book layout
Two things: Have you visited typography.com? The kids over there know their stuff and may have some great samples for you. Secondly, I find consistency is less frustrating if I work with either space before or space after, but not together. I also work in small enough increments that I can equalize space through a couple of hard returns vs. Having a several "space after" settings. Source: about 3 years ago
