If you mine into your own wallet on your desktop no one knows, but if you mine and then place in an exchange which has KYC you will need to pay tax in most western countries unless you use sites like https://flyp.me/en/#/ to swap for another coin into another desktop wallet then no one knows, provided you use a VPN during the swap. BCH is disabled as a payment method for coingate.com transactions.
