  • A list of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS offerings that have free tiers of interest to devops and infradev
Flat.social - Interactive customizable spaces for team meetings & happy hours socials. Unlimited meetings, free up to 8 concurrent users. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Ask HN: How many of you are self employed?
Same here! I've been running my own digital products (https://flat.social and some smaller ones) and bridging the gap with consulting. For me, the flexibility lead to a fully location-independent lifestyle which allowed me to work from places where I feel at my best. Currently writing this from a tropical patio in Brazil :). - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • Google Ending Support for Jamboard Devices
I built https://flat.social that has whiteboarding functionalities (among others). Not as advanced as Miro or FigJam but useful for quick diagrams during meetings / brainstorming. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
  • Zoom terms now allow training AI on user content with no opt out
Does this mean that ZOOM is basically using every attendee's audio and video stream to train their models? How do they define the "Service Generated Data"? I made a video-conferencing app for virtual events (https://flat.social). No audio and video is ever recorded, packets are only forwarded to subscribed clients. Frankly, while designing the service it didn't even cross my mind to use this data for anything else... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (August 2023)
Location: UK / EU in 2023. Remote: Full-remote but more than happy to travel occasionally. My location is very flexible. Portfolio: Most recently I built https://flat.social from scratch. It's a video conferencing app where everyone can fly around and talk with others in proximity - feel free to check out the demo! • creating a nice sponsors page on Transistor.fm
The transistor.fm/ website builder allows you to add extra pages (such as a sponsors page) using HTML. However, I've got no clue how to do this. Source: 12 months ago
  • Best service to host a podcast?
Https://transistor.fm/ because the price is reasonable, and it has every feature I was looking for (shared access, website, integrations, publishing everywhere,...). Source: over 1 year ago
  • I think we need simpler end-to-end tools. Anybody else had this issue?
Transistor.fm does the hosting and site, can't record or helps with marketing. Source: over 1 year ago
  • File format for uploading
I've seen a few posts about this but they're a few years old, and I wasn't sure if things may have changed. I know that data caps etc matter less these days with larger data plans. That said, I'd love some advice. The service I'm going for, transistor.fm, recommends MP3. They also recommend a max file size of 200MB. Both in mono, an MP3 version of my first episode is 38.5MB. A .WAV episode is 318MB. Is it... Source: over 1 year ago
