   Secure file hosting platform

   The FileCloud server is self-hosted and gives me the ability to store and share files, sync across different devices and back-up all documents and photos so that I don't have to worry about security.

   🏁 Competitors: Google Drive

   👍 Pros:    I can access filecloud through multiple ways such as through the web browser and mobile app|I can protect my files with a password so that only the authorized user can access those files|Back up of files for ease of accessibility and security

   👎 Cons:    There is no dislike i can think of at the moment. everything is working out like i expected

• Backing up gmail emails

  I use GMvault for doing this and I'm quite happy with it. Unfortunately, it's not actively maintained anymore and out of the box, it doesn't work properly thanks to some annoying changes that Google has made to Oauth, but fortunately, there's plenty of documentation on GitHub for how to fix it. I have GMvault set up to run nightly using a cron job on my NAS. Source: 12 months ago
