  Download and install the File Converter, right-click on an image file such as jpg, png, etc. And hover over "File Converter" which should be above "Open with," go to "Configure presets," go to webp, set the quality to something reasonable like 90 (you can even go lower), save.   If you install the DeDRM plugin from Apprentice Alf, you can pull books from Adobe Digital Editions into Calibre (once they're checked out into ADE) and it strips the DRM off them as it imports. Then you can return the book from ADE and it checks back into the library. Source: over 1 year ago
