  • Ask HN: How did you earn your first $100 and first $1k online?
My first $100 is getting fed up with my existing feed reading and making https://feedmail.org/ available publicly. First $1000 is still crickets, but I'll probably get there soon. But I'm not really trying to profit, I just wanted a better reader for myself and figured I would make it available. Making it paid is mostly to greatly reduce the abuse opportunities. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
  • E-mail notification to Proton Status no longer available?
If you want faster updates you can use my service https://feedmail.org which updates this feed every 15min. It is paid but with 400 free updates you should be able to use the trial for years. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How to receive email when certain RSS feed is updated?
Hi. I run a service just for this https://feedmail.org. It is a paid service but there is a 400 email free trial for you to test it out. It is very cheap after that. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Do you use RSS? If yes, which reader do you use?
I use RSS-to-Email then read them in my mail clients. Most things get routed to a few folders without notifications that I open when I want news. I'm using my own RSS-to-Email service https://feedmail.org but I've also used https://blogtrottr.com/ in the past. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

  • A most profound video game: a good cognitive aid for research
Also available on Google Play Store [1], and it successfully derailed my sleep plans last night. Really breaks your expectations of "I move the character around" within minutes. It reminds me a bit of the card game Fluxx, where every card you play changes the rules. [1] https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hempuli.baba. - Source: Hacker News / 1 day ago

Hey everyone! Ever feel like you're wasting time typing endless grocery lists from those pesky leaflets? Yeah, me too! That's why I built SnapList, a shopping list app that lets you scan leaflets directly, saving you tons of time and effort. SnapList is all about simplicity and efficiency. Just scan those leaflets and watch your shopping list populate magically. Currently, app is available for Android on the Play... - Source: Hacker News / 3 days ago
  • Show HN: Unforget, the note-taking app I always wanted: offline first, encrypted
Being similarly frustrated with note taking apps lately (Android), I finally discovered one that's pretty amazing, so I'd like to mention it. It's called Zettel Notes [1]. It's all offline, with support for many syncing options, and the notes are simple markdown files stored in a directory. [1] - Source: Hacker News / 5 days ago

Hey HN, I co-created a simple iOS/Android app designed to help you securely gather important information in the form of notes, screenshots, and photos (e.g., life insurance, pension funds, bank accounts, information about your crypto - not necessarily leaving your passphrases here, but mentioning where you've hidden them - why not?) that significant others will need when you pass away. The app automatically passes... - Source: Hacker News / 10 days ago
