The account portability is probably the biggest problem with the fediverse right now. I finally signed up for Mastodon despite reading little to nothing positive about it on hn. You can use resources such as join-lemmy.org, joinmastodon.org, fedidb.org to find where you want to establish your account. Remember that you can also make an account on other instances if you want to. Do not attach yourself too much to your home instance; it's okay to just make a new account somewhere else if you are unsatisfied with the rules or stability of your home instance. Any stability issues on mastodon.social are noteworthy, but it's important to recognize that it only represents 1,370,000/9,930,000 = 13% of total users, and 387,000/1,790,000 = 21% of Monthly active users. If you don't use Mastodon, it might be easy to assume that the experience would be filled with blackouts or technical issues, but that's not true, if you pick a good instance. There have been a few. I know https://www.hootsuite.com is one of those, but does not currently seem updated to support any of the ones you asked about! https://fedica.com/ seems to maybe be a parent company (acquisition?) of Hootsuite. https://buffer.com/publish I first heard about this ages ago as a way to build a queue of things to put out to Twitter.
