I refuse to victim blame but I also am an objective member of the cybersecurity community. There are tools to fake any digital conversation. Disgusting tools but they exist. https://fakeinfo.net/fake-snapchat-chat-generator for example. Source: about 1 year ago
It was almost certainly generated on this site on a Windows computer. Source: over 1 year ago
I’ve kinda made it work by installing an application called MicMute that mutes the microphone with a hotkey, (something like CTRL + ALT + M) then using VIA to map that hotkey to a button on the keyboard. Source: 12 months ago
Hello, I found this program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
There's a free app on SF called mutemic. You can bind a keyboard key and have push to talk for your mic. Alternatively you can toggle it on or off as well. When you have the push to talk function you can toggle between always on or off by double tapping the keybind. It's a good compromise until we have the functionality in game. https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
I think the easiest fix I found right now is to download MicMute app (https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/) set it up to function like push to talk.. Then switch your voice activation to open in siege and you should be good. Source: over 2 years ago
But it's kinda hard to find the switch on the cord during gameplay. And the DAC is not that close to my keyboard. I think I would find a way to get a keyboard or mouse shortcut over those methods. MicMute is one app I found and might try if the in-game stuff doesn't work out. This might have bugs too. Source: over 2 years ago
