  • Advice for a lost high schooler :’)
So, assuming you’re going to apply to design programs, be proactive and start designing stuff on your own. You can find design briefs at goodbrief.io, fakeclients.com, and sharpen.design. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Are design competitions worth competing and investing in?
Are design contests worth entering? If your hope is that a company will see your contest entry and decide to hire you, probably not. Contests may be helpful, though more for developing a designer's skills and giving them a winning or placing entry that they can use to promote as opposed to gaining organic notoriety from the contest itself. • From $0 to $4000/m with an "overdone" business model
I reckon a lot of you are familiar with—and probably bored to death by—the idea of the "productized" consultancy by now. If not, DesignJoy is the most famous example of it, and possibly the one that kickstarted the entire craze. Source: 6 months ago

  • Advices on making money online.
You've already got a very in-demand skill as a front-end developer - try freelancing on the side. Don't just look at upwork and fiverr - think outside of the box. Look at designjoy.co - it's a one-man design agency (a freelancer but marketed differently). Source: 10 months ago
  • Looking for a developer to help build my site (beginners welcome)
I'm looking to build a 1-page website similar to designjoy.co, but simpler with less sections. I'd still like it to have animations though. Source: 11 months ago
