Engrampa mentions (2)

  • TIL there's a fork of the unmaintained p7zip port of 7-Zip
The p7zip port of 7-Zip is several releases behind and the project seems to be abandoned. I discovered this when a large archive failed to extract with Engrampa which uses it. It reported a "Headers Error" which is due to a compatibility problem between zip format implementations. 7-Zip has a fix but the port doesn't. But there's a fork on GitHub which is being actively maintained. Check it out. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What compression tool you mainly use?
I use Engrampa. Which archive format I use depends on the use case. For example, if Windows users are involved, I usually use Rar archives. Under Linux, I usually use tar.xz. Source: about 3 years ago

  • What do you wish Zapier changed in it’s pricing?
It's Tremendous. It's sort of but not exactly a SaaS, because we don't have a subscription model, and so it's awkward in our sales flow to say that actually you need to subscribe to something. Anyway we do have some direct integrations and will make more, but the entire appeal of Zapier is to allow many more integrations than our team could develop and maintain. Source: 12 months ago
