  • Need Advice on Drone "Sidehustle"
I have passed my part 107, formed an LLC, have a website, and a couple youtube channels. I am working on liability insurance, but in the mean time have submitted some bids on jobs on droners.io, which have been neither read, rejected, or accepted. I have applied on the latest iteration of dronebase, now zeitview, but have not been accepted yet. Source: about 1 year ago

Grats! Welcome to da club. If you have your own Mavic 2 pro or equivalent/better, go ahead and sign up with https://www.zeitview.com/ and https://droners.io and start making extra $$$. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I’m devastated
From what I gather from others around me, is start with drone service websites. Like dronebase, droners.io and so on. Heck, even real-estate companies need certified pilots. So many got caught hiring uncertified pilots and got fines of $10k or more so a certified pilot with a fair rate according to them would be welcomed. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Alternatives to DroneBase?
DroneBase has had the most consistent requests but it's probably because construction and real estate are so hot in our region. My full-time job includes piloting so I only accept missions as I have time or the money is right. Flyguys is good as well but I haven't seen much from them.. I have never flown PrecisionHawk and I didn't like droners.io but I think that was mostly because they don't have as strong of a... Source: about 2 years ago

  • Hide CGI (or whatever those images are) or other alternatives
The images are "Second Life" CGI, and they are fairly disgusting to me as well. There are other photography sites: smugmug.com, pexels.us, pixabay.com, unsplash.com, 500px.com, shutterstock.com, etc. Smugmug is the only one that comes close to the searching you can do on Flickr. • Sending Photos to client
If you can keep your total uploaded photos under 2gb, you can use dropbox for free, and choose the 1% of your invoice option with photoinvoice. Or you can look at something like smugmug.com which does it all for you, but the pricing varies from $7/mo to $42/mo (the price goes down considerably if you prepay for a whole year). There are other sites like smugmug that will also do this for you. Source: over 2 years ago
