I have a plan to transfer domains and want to know if there is any registrar that offers a year additional free expiration date (the real one, not a gimmick), a huge discount or free credit upon sign up? The expiring domain will first have a 30 day redemption period, and then further delays before it is dropped. If the name is anything potentially of value, the name will be re-registered by someone hoping to profit off of it. I'd recommend using a drop-catch firm to attempt to register it when it is dropped.
