devmarks.io automatically syncs with developer-centric sites to consolidate data from across the internet. Whether you star a GitHub repo, favorite a new tool on Hacker News, bookmark an article on Pinboard.in, or like a Tweet with a link to a new product, devmarks.io will collect that activity and present it all in one intuitive interface.
devmarks.io also retrieves metadata and tags from dev.to articles, 10 different package repositories, Gists, and GitHub code repos.
GitDailies might be a bit more popular than devmarks.io. We know about 1 link to it since March 2021 and only 1 link to devmarks.io. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth implementing Elasticsearch until you have hundreds of thousands of records or you need something search engine specific (i.e. facets). The full-text search in Postgres is really fast these days. Or if you want a library, I’ve been using https://pypi.org/project/django-watson/ on https://devmarks.io and it’s been working great so far. Source: almost 2 years ago
