They have mainly been focusing on making Debian stable, so it's more about reading manuals than expecting user-friendliness from it. Recently in one of my work projects at SUSE I ran into a job queue congestion issue. We have a lot of very slow background jobs to perform various maintenance tasks, such as cleaning up old files from disk that are no longer needed.
