Metaplugin is great, but limited for what it is (32/64 bridging + plugin chains + oversampling), and the plugin browser is a steaming pile of garbage. REAPER has functionally better routing, if less pretty, and a decent browser. Had I been on another DAW, I'd probably be interested. Source: over 1 year ago

Ive done a number of these sets ups and there should be software to break up the comp for you. The workflow ive used the past is make one 4k comp and then send it thru https://madmapper.com or similar. If you HAVE to do it the way you describe check out render region of interest.
