We're commonly doing this with logging, using services such as Loggly or DataDog. We're using managed databases, be it on AWS, Heroku or database-vendor-specific solutions. I have a network that has no internet connectivity. The servers/workstations are microsoft. Microsoft DNS/AD. I'm unable to find an elegant solution for applications that perform CRL/OCSP lookups but have to wait for a timeout to expire before continuing.
