We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

We're commonly doing this with logging, using services such as Loggly or DataDog. We're using managed databases, be it on AWS, Heroku or database-vendor-specific solutions. I don't have any of those official apps on my phone at all because they ask for access to basically all your personal info stored on your phone. I use other sites to get around the need to log-in to lurk on instagram and I peruse tiktok on my desktop PC only (with my spam email account) to avoid downloading the app on my phone.
