I loved the concept. A company like custommade.com (I have no affiliation BTW) could be used to design and make each ring according to the person's preference. At first I was going to have the entire ring customized through custommade.com, but after several failed CAD attempts, I truly think the ring style I want is too complex for them to replicate even after I have given them many photos and interactive videos from several different angles of the exact ring I want. In addition to a jeweler or etsy, there are some websites that are specifically set up for custom jewelry. I used CustomMade for my fiance's ring, and we both adore how it came out. There's a bunch of replacements. I like https://newsblur.com but there are 4-6 large-ish similar sites. That said, partially what people miss is the relative cultural hegemony of Google Reader. Currently I'm on Newsblur. But it's really convoluted to Self host - to my "shame" I use their cloud hosted app with premium. It's (over)laden with features that I actually use and cheaper than for example Feedly. Source: 12 months ago
