  Almost everyone here recommends Inoreader, which is understandable: it's the most powerful RSS reader. I respect Inoreader, but I prefer ten times the UX of Newsblur, which is open source and feautured packed if you are a power user (but you can use it as a normal RSS reader). Source: over 1 year ago

  I bounced around between a few other RSS readers after Google Reader was shut down, and eventually stuck to NewsBlur. I still use it. The biggest thing that sets it apart for me is that you can have it highlight or hide stories based on keywords. Source: over 1 year ago

  I tried it when they started, it was a sluggish mess that also did not use the browser cache correctly. Maybe I noticed because I had thousands of RSS feeds, I dunno. Granted, that was a decade ago so I hope they improved it since. I stick to https://newsblur.com/. It has features to extract the whole story from the source website, and to automatically filter feed items according to title, author, tags etc. There are android and iOS apps available; at least the Android one is opensource.
