  • Why does this R/CryptoCurrency hate Technical Analysis?
Crypto TA is really only good for very short term trading and even then, can be unreliable. I hang out in cryptowat.ch chat for the lulz but every now and then one of the old heads post some pretty good TA. I rarely act on said TA but, still. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Kraken pro: missing features?
In the meantime, we'd encourage you to give cryptowat.ch a try if haven't yet; you can connect your Kraken account and trade directly from there. It offers a similar UI to the legacy Kraken Terminal, but with so many more great features. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Should a crypto index contain stablecoins?
I'm considering setting up an automatic crypto index/automatic portfolio rebalancer for a portion of my holdings, and I'm playing around a bit with the tools at shrimpy.io. My plan is to include some of the top coins by marketcap and some coins that I believe in long term. I want the portfolio to rebalance by threshold, meaning that whenever a coin gains or loses value beyond a set percentage, the entire portfolio... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Can anyone suggest me any social trading platform?
Nobody mentioned https://shrimpy.io yet – it's a pay to play thing, but it's spot-on exactly what you're asking for, and it also has utility for rebalancing even when you are not "copy-trading.". Source: about 2 years ago
  • Weekend Discussion Thread for the Weekend of October 22, 2021
Hello All, I am looking for a platform like shrimpy.io but for stocks. I want to connect the platform using API with my stockbroker and create a weekly portfolio of stocks that will automatically place trades for me for ratio selected and execute stop loss when it reaches a level of loss. Good to have automatic sell all on take profit too. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance. Source: over 2 years ago
  • What’s your dream portfolio for rebalancing? Here’s mine.
But please let us pick our rebalancing strategy! As in threshold rebalancing or frequency balancing. Threshold rebalance will rebalance when 1 asset deviates +/- % from it's target allocation %. Frequency balancing just rebalances every N days, N weeks, or N months. Also having a stop loss ability would be great, like if the portfolio value drops N % it triggers a stop loss. At least these are key features to how... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Just looking for a level headed explanation on how this happens. So many stocks (especially heavily shorted ones) took IDENTICAL dips at 12:20pm eastern
Shrimpy just watches the profiles of good crypto traders and lets you subscribe portions or all of your portfolio to them. I think their incentive, besides earning their own money in the market, is shrimpy pays them based on how many subscribers they get etc. http://shrimpy.io I was skeptical as fuck at first but actually even as crypto was crashing these guys navigated things pretty well, a lot better than I...
