If anyone would like to practice some of these lessons in a "capture the flag" format, I would recommend https://cryptohack.org/ -- great site! - Source: Hacker News / 22 days ago
Another similar website for people who like this: https://cryptohack.org/ It is like cryptopals, but in a Catch The Flag format. Many challenges on cryptopals do exist on CryptoHack too, but CryptoHack also have some even harder challenges to solve. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
The point is, you're working with a 200-year old manual cipher method. The field of cryptography has thoroughly perforated it and moved past manual ciphers and machine ciphers and onto mathematical ciphers whose strength is in functions whose inverses are astronomically more difficult to compute than the functions themselves, and key generation schemes that ensure that keys are never repeated no matter how many... Even more important, one review refers to the author replying to a reader with a question about one of the examples. Finding teachers that actually respond is rare, in my experience. I've only found one with such a commitment to his students, to date: Nam Ha Minh of the codejava website and author of a few udemy... Source: over 2 years ago
Of the various tutorial sites, I have found the content at codejava.net to be reliable and well written. The author doesn't just regurgitate documentation specs and examples, but puts time into creating additional, original examples that help clarify things. He has many tutorials that are Spring based. I don't know what books to recommend--I've been learning Spring most via tutorials and Udemy classes. Source: over 2 years ago
