One of the hard parts of learning a language like python on your own is knowing what you should learn and the order you should learn it in--resources like these books or online courses you can find on Coursera are great for helping with that.   Mango Languages might be good for them. Check with your library to see if you can get free access because it's free through many libraries. There's an app for it too. There's also Destinos for Spanish and NHK has a Japanese course. For ASL, there's ASL University. EdX and Alison have courses too, but they may be for an older audience.
