  Thank you for all the suggestions. Several of these require having a business Wordpress account, which I don't have. I finally just copied an em dash from a Word doc and pasted it into the text block in my Wordpress draft. • What kind of plugins would you want to see built.

  Copy/paste doesn't work for you? I use this site (https://copychar.cc/) and am able to paste in any character. It'll adjust to whatever typeface I set it to if it exists for that one. I really only use the dashes and trademarks though. Source: over 2 years ago
