  • The client is using the same domain for internal AD and external websites.
First, since the domain controllers will respond to "company.com", make sure they do not have IIS or another web server running on them using ports 80/443. If they do, move it to a more appropriate server. Source: 7 months ago
  • The client is using the same domain for internal AD and external websites.
We just got a client whose internal Ad is company.com and their website is also company.com. They cannot browse the company website from the internal network as it points them to the AD. IIs Redirection and WWW record in the DNS did not work. Any suggestion on how we can get this resolved? Source: 7 months ago

  • Internal DNS Settings Blocking Access to Company Website
Our company has been around since before the Internet so we have the common problem of our internal domain being the same as our web domain. Long ago, we made a www entry in the DNS on our domain controller to point to our website IP so internal users could access the site. For clarity, when I ping company.com I get our local DC private IP, and when I ping www.company.com I get the public address. Source: 9 months ago

This post is kind of a social experiment because I noticed if I sprinkled a mild amount of douchebaggery in my clips people would talk about it and the post gets engagement and whatnot, went out to commit a crime and post it to reddit.com to see what happens. Source: 6 months ago
