  Our company has been around since before the Internet so we have the common problem of our internal domain being the same as our web domain. Long ago, we made a www entry in the DNS on our domain controller to point to our website IP so internal users could access the site.   When you use the term "Additional mailboxes" do you mean "shared mailbox" in your same @ mycompany.tld domain in Microsoft's world ? Discuss with your admin the appropriate permissions to do that - there are two items involved - send as and the saving to sent (sorry I don't have the exact terms for you) - your mail admin will hopefully know.   Yep, just need to add the company.com domain to be an alternative UPN suffix in AD. Believe you go into AD Domains and Trusts, right click on the forest name and select Properties. Add it there. Then you would go through and update the users suffix's. Source: over 1 year ago

I used to design and build every website from scratch but Shopify and Woo made that redundant. We're probably heading to a point where individual websites will give way to platforms.   I would write a script to send out email as you were going to do, but have each email have a unique URL to click on if the person wants to stay connected to that alias. Have the web end populate a db, wait a week or two or whatever and pull the info back out, alias, and username and go in and nuke all the people out of the aliases, back that up first, and have the script put the people that want to be in them...
