  • Decent places to find new artists with open comms?
Websites or pages similar to https://ych.commishes.com/ or https://www.weasyl.com/marketplace are the worst out of what I've looked into. The work examples shown rarely reflect what you're actually be getting, and the filters provided are near useless because half of the sellers can't properly tag their posts. That's not even going into the fact that the UIs are poorly designed, usually needing multiple clicks to... Source: 8 months ago
  • How would a broke upcoming vtuber find artwork?
Still costs money, but https://ych.commishes.com/ tends to have cheaper commissions ($5-$25) since they're mostly bidding based. Source: 8 months ago
  • is YCH.Commishes site legit?
Is https://ych.commishes.com/ a legit site to use to sell art on? I'm trying to sell YCHs/Commissions. Source: 11 months ago
  • I am an Illustrator absolutely terrified of AI Please give me advice in case I run out of jobs/money, (preparing for the worst)
Make adoptables. Everyone always buys adoptables (myself included) and post them on Deviantart and instagram alongside ych.commishes.com. It'll take some time to get a following unless your art and design is what people are looking for. From humans to animals, to even outfits, this is a big area. If you want more info, feel free to ask. Source: about 1 year ago
  • We need a new art website, And not just any art website but an art website that perfects everything for an artist
Wdym by added? I did view the site and it reminds me of another site, YCH. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Thinking of switching from photoshop to affinity
I switch in 2014 and never went back. The learning curve is something you need to be aware of and also the fact you need to buy other apps as well. For example I have these apps accompanying my Affinity suite: Hype4, Pixelmator and Art Text plus a free app that is a Figma alternative called Penpot. Why? Because these third apps would do what Affinity can’t. With all those apps, you won’t need Adobe to survive in... Source: about 1 year ago
  • I still use Flash in 2022
Man I miss Flash too! Tumult Hype is the closest thing to it, but the editor's Mac only. https://tumult.com/hype/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Are there things that Flash did that we still can’t do with today’s web?
I keep hoping that we’ll be able to package Flash-grade animations as WASM and send them out as a single file (or as two files, one for a Haxe-like runtime and another for the game or animation). But since there is no real standard authoring tool (and nobody mentions those, or the ease of use the Flash “IDE” had) I don’t have much hope. The closest I’ve seen (and actually use) is Hype (https://tumult.com/hype/),... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Are there things that Flash did that we still can’t do with today’s web?
On Mac there is Hype. The earlier versions were pretty good, but I haven't used the latest. https://tumult.com/hype/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

BTW, you might also want to check out Tumult Hype, I used it for some projects that were similar. https://tumult.com/hype/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
