If you want to take a slightly longer, but imo easier path. I went from learning coding using https://codegym.cc/ to being a Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (current) and will eventually transition to BE Dev on my company's dime: At the last 3 companies I've been a QA Engineer at, there's always been a pipeline from QA -> Dev that the company is willing to work with you on. I also used to do the exact same thing during a technical interview. Seems like an obvious answer, but I've always noticed the more prior practice I have, the less nervous I get. I think a good part of the mental fatigue comes from nerves. And those nerves were amplified when I encountered a problem for which I didn't immediately have a general grasp of the solution.
