There's a Google product called "Chromecast with Google TV". It's a chromecast that comes with "Google TV" and lets you install android apps on it. Source: 11 months ago
So maybe I'm missing something entirely obvious here, but isn't "Chromecast with google TV"[0] exactly the product everyone here seems to be lamenting not existing? I've got two at home and they are great. It's a solid tv experience based on android, with probably the best remote I've ever used -- though I wish the remote wouldn't be so dang slippery. If your TV has a good picture I would suggest against replacing it. Smart TVs are typically less functional than a dumb TV with an android stick, or ruko or whatever. Here is a link to what I use: https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_google_tv Even if your TV is not 4K, I suggest dropping the extra 10 dollars to future proof your investment. I've had decent success tracking down titles with Reelgood (https://reelgood.com/), which is basically a streaming aggregator. Also, it's not streaming but I actually got about a dozen Vinegar Syndrome and Partner Label titles on disc from my local library. Source: 10 months ago
To be fair reelgood.com can do the same thing but I like justwatch better. Source: 10 months ago
I don't know what else to tell you, other than I only watched a few seconds of each episode, and to recommend the streaming search engines Reelgood and Justwatch. Source: 10 months ago
I moved from Roku to Chrome cast with googletv to use deep linking that most devices are no longer supporting. I use the reelgood.com app on my cell or website on my laptop to cast. I also use justwatch.com to open shows/movies to open the app you select to stream from. Source: 12 months ago
You can use sites like JustWatch / MovieFone / ReelGood to figure out where films/shows are streaming. Source: 12 months ago
