  • Generating chess puzzles with generic algorithms (2022)
I enthusiastically recommend Chess Tempo (https://chesstempo.com/), which will give you interactive chess puzzles from real games that are tailored to your level. Someone else mentioned the similar system on lichess, which is also fine. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • What Board Does thechesswebsite Use?
Does anybody know? There was a post from two years ago about this, and someone commented chesstempo.com, but I can't find the same board there. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Organising notes/reviews - 1100ish
I use chess.com to play and I also have an chesstempo.com account which seems to be really good for practicing the openings. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I'm sure that this has been asked before
To get better at #2 pattern recognition, work on fast tactics. Go to chesstempo.com and train with blitz/easy tactics. Do this every day. After a time, I think you won’t need to do the Fritz training (maybe a month or two and you should be good), but do the tactics everyday. It’s your daily vitamin. Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Local newspaper: white to play and win :)
I did also chess database.chessbase.com for their encounter and did not see it. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Is ChessBase really that necessary?
Second, if you're only after the games, without any of the DB-features, they're available for free at https://database.chessbase.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Would love some honest feedback. Harsh criticism welcomed. Chessmen series.
Also a minor note: the chess pieces are often in between squares and judging by their positions, none of these are real games. If you want to copy real games, there's an online DB https://database.chessbase.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Computer chess software help
Lichess, or otherwise there are opensource algorithms/databases I use this one but there are many other ones. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is there a database explorer on lichess?
Something like https://database.chessbase.com/ was what I was trying to get at - although I don't think you can explore by position/material on that - only on their offline version of chessbase :/. Source: over 2 years ago
