Even after all this I still didn't wanted to pin this on Cloudflare and decided to try out some other DNS that would give a free trial atleast and doesn't require to use their DNS but rather work with custom hostname to pin the DNS and was cheap enough to not break the bank in case I end up using it. Which paid services are you referring to? It is likely that these services aren't distributing the projects they are based on, if so, then they are in compliance with the licenses of the open source projects, which don't require attribution unless you distribute them.
