  • how do other streamers read their chats?
I use castr.io, which is a little less expensive than restream imho. I'm on their Multistream Plus plan, which allows up to 2 concurrent streams and multistreaming to up to 5 destinations. I think they charge $12.50/mo, but I've been getting it for less on an annual plan because they offered a special discount during the holidays. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Which Platform for 24/7 Live Streaming?
You'd be using something else to push simultaneously to YouTube and Twitch. OBS can send RTMP to 2 destinations, or you can use a dedicated service like castr.io or restream. Both take in a single RTMP, and send it to multiple locations. Source: about 2 years ago

  • I found a way to share one of my monitors into vrchat video players! (info in comment)
We managed to do it using OBS and a program running on my raspberry pi 3 called MistServer, as well as my audio mixer to mute the browser source on my end and a dynamic dns app. This all being said, the friend I was spitballing with was able to get a hold of a private beta build to help it work smoothly on the pi. The fixes in this should be available later this year in the OSS (free) version, though you might be... Source: over 2 years ago
