Could a equation OCR system like be combined with a screen reader? : https://mathpix.com. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
Pardon the late reply. I've been successfully using Mathpix Snip to do general OCR for quite some time. It's not as well communicated as its initial purpose of applying OCR to LaTeX equations, but it currently supports much more than that, such as mixed text/math and tables. Https://mathpix.com/ seems to work well, though it is limited to 50 free scans. I am sure there are other softwares to perform the same task, such as http://www.inftyreader.org/. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
Ah OCR seems to be your best bet in that case. Although from my experience (depending on how good your handwriting is), it’s still a bit touch and go. Specifically regarding equations, we have been looking at integrating https://mathpix.com into Supernotes, so Mathpix might be a good solution for you. Although you will still need to find a note-taking tool that works for you to store all the LaTeX snippets. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
