  I force clients who want to talk to me to book a call. I use cal.com (free) and my Google Calendar (which its linked to) only allows calls on specific days/times. I have a few "Call Blocks" where they can book. That let's me do calls in a small section of my week, with ample downtime to recover the rest of the week.   If you do find a way to hide app menus you might consider using Paletro or a similar extension for an automation tool, I know Alfred has a workflow for it, I'm guessing Raycast, Launchbar and maybe even Keyboard Maestro do to.   How is performance these days? I used to use it or an alternative workflow and there was always a few second lag when I activated the workflow in each respective app for the first time after rebooting.
