  • Tips for starters
1.) An idea that's fleshed out. What do you want to talk about? Why? How will your show be different than the hundreds of thousands of other shows out there. 2.) Equipment. ie a mic, something to record to and good headset so that you can listen. 3.) Edit software. There's a range of stuff available from free to really expensive. We use Audacity which is free and it does the job. 4.) a host site. We use... Source: almost 3 years ago

Thank you for sharing! On a tangent: I'm wondering if there are any good open source models/libraries to reconstruct audio quality. I'm thinking about an open source alternative to something like Adobe Podcast [1] to make noisy recordings sound professional. Anecdotally, it's supposed to be very good. In a recent search, I haven't found anything convincing. In my naive view this tasks seems much simpler than audio... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Is it worth buying all equipment for the first podcast or can we our phones?
Should you long term... NO... Can you short term to get the mic-ball rolling... yes!! Here is what I would offer up. Take the recording and either clean it up in audacity (if you know how) OR. go to https://podcast.adobe.com/ drop your vocal audio track(s) in there and they will clean it up for you for free. Up to 1.5 hrs. that way you get the best possible outcome within your starter budget. Source: 11 months ago
  • Is there a way to reverse engineer a Noise print capture and undo once its saved?
Ahh, ok. Unfortunately, if that's the case, I'm afraid there's no turning back. If it's dialogue (and you're unhappy with the result) you might try running it through Adobe Podcast Enhance (podcast.adobe.com) The AI can sometimes repair artifacts from denoising, while delivering a very clean-sounding VO. Worth a shot (if it's a voice file). Source: 12 months ago
