  I transferred my US number to callcentric.com and downloaded the Zoiper softphone to operate it. It works fine most of the time, but can be a little flakey. Getting texting is important for banks and such for login confirmations, so ensure you get that. Source: 11 months ago

• Recommend VOIP Phones for Small Deployment

  I am installing a small deployment of VOIP phones for my church (<10 phones) and plan to set them up with callcentric.com for now. Future plans may involve transitioning to IncrediblePBX/FreePBX as that is what I use for my own hobby purposes. I have been going back and forth between Yealink and Polycom phones and reading a lot about them. I personally own a Yealink T46S that I like, but wondered if the Polycom... Source: 12 months ago

  You still can get a number from commercial SIP providers and use very cheap SIP calls. Examples: anveo.com ($0.50/month + $0.01/min for inbound and outbound calls), callcentric.com (similar pricing, may be slightly more expensive) etc. Source: 12 months ago
