So, I started studying from the basics with brilliant.org about 4-5 months ago, starting right from the basics. I do it for 40-45 minutes every day, no exceptions, making it a priority just like reading books. From what I've observed so far, I enjoy it. I'm a chemical lab assistant and have worked in biochemistry/protein research for four years. I do good work, but I want to understand more background.
