When you use software for creating your recipe such as on brewersfriend.com you can select how much, how long, Alpha acid of the hops and when in the proces you add your hops (Boil, FIRST WORT, dryhop, etc). Source: over 1 year ago
It doesn't include the actual recipes in the dataset, but it does have a link to the recipe on brewersfriend.com. I think you can export the recipe to some kind of XML format on there, so if your savvy enough you could code something in python that goes through the recipe links, downloads the XMLs and then puts them inside a DB for analysis. After just using BeerSmith Mobile for the past few years, I picked up a BeerSmith license. This was mostly motivated by the fairly new web editing features at https://beersmithrecipes.com/. There is reasonable integration between the mobile app and the online editor. You can also use the web version from your mobile device, though I think I like using the app from my phone.
