I got an email this morning from Amazon saying they are canceling the kids book box service. I am bummed because we have been using the service since LO was teeny tiny and it was awesome to be able to count on new books showing up every 2 months. I would look into non-authoring approaches. Gamebooks and dungeon/hex crawls are one early example. Nowadays people are experimenting with analog techniques (like using cut-ups), or computer tech that takes advantage of machine learning like (Write With Transformer (AIDungeon is the more famous/infamous one, but more are emerging).
