I don't know if this will help ease your mind, but Blokada 5 is a good system-wide adblocker app. I believe it's available with FOSS and you can download it on the Galaxy Store if you have a Samsung phone. Blokada 6 in the Play Store is a subscription-based cloud app because Google doesn't allow VPN-based adblockers in the Play Store. - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago
Hi, I'm guessing that you're not using the latest version of Blokada, please visit blokada.org and download it from there. - Source: Reddit / 12 days ago
There's a Tor Android app (might be for iPhone as well). DuckDuckGo has a browser. Firefox Focus is another good browser, can make DuckDuckGo the permanent search engine for it. (Make sure to turn off Send Diagnostics in the settings of whatever browser you use.) Firefox also has a VPN service that you have to pay for, which also has an app. Blokada is a system-wide adblocker app for Android that blocks some... - Source: Reddit / 15 days ago
Or use something like https://adguard.com/en/adguard-android/overview.html or https://adaway.org/ or https://blokada.org/. - Source: Reddit / 18 days ago
u/tweedlepillar has recommended Blokada in the past and speaks accurately but I found that to avoid paying a subscription I needed v5 and not v6. You can get v5 by going direct to Blokada's website instead of getting it from Playstore. I did that and it was perfectly fine. All these just seem like these would be better to run on an actual server or the ideas are lame, basic, and overused. I just want some useful things that only these single board computers can do to justify their purpose.... - Source: Reddit / 2 days ago
Now, just like at home. All the devices on my network can see my Synology including my Nvidia Sheild since my Synology doubles as my Plex server. Not unlike the PiHole the MT3000's built in AdGuard has been amazing too! Since the install earlier today, it's happily reported that over 7.5% of my DNS queries have been Ad server related and effectively blocked. That's even while using uBlock Origin as my Firefox... - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago
Never, uBO is a browser extension, not an app, if you want to block ads on your TV you need to use something like Pi-Hole: https://pi-hole.net/ or, if you're refering to youtube, something like: https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTubeNext. - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago
Https://pi-hole.net is where you go to install, but you'll need to do it in that Linux debian virtual machine system, or else dedicate a machine solely to Linux, which most people wouldn't know how to use well. - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
