BitClout is a new decentralized social network that lets you speculate on (the worth of) people and posts with real money. It's built from the ground up as its own custom blockchain. Its architecture is similar to Bitcoin's, except that it supports complex social network models like posts, profiles, follows, speculation features, and much more at a significantly higher throughput and scale. Like Bitcoin, BitClout... - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
This is already a thing, it's an interesting niche concept, but the biggest downfall IMO is you can never delete anything since the blockchain is public and tracks all changes. https://bitclout.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
Is this different than BitClout? https://bitclout.com/. Source: about 2 years ago
You can't sell on the bitclout.com node. Also, there is no "official" site. To the network, all nodes are equal, whether they are old or new: the DeSo foundation also doesn't call any node "official"- though the node they personally maintain is node.deso.org. It was easy to use, but I couldn't get the MediaStream object from it using Tauri on MacOS for some reason, even though it worked when I opened the test app in Chrome instead. I am not sure it would enable multiple instances either. Source: about 1 year ago
That did not seem to do anything with Cheese, however it lead me down a rabbithole to https://webcamoid.github.io/ with links to virtual camera drivers for "akvcam" and "v4l2loopback" which solved the issue within browser. I installed both, not sure which one was needed. Source: almost 2 years ago
Yes, obs-virtualcam, or this open source thing will do it https://webcamoid.github.io/. Source: about 2 years ago
I would have liked to take better quality pictures, but this was the best my webcam could muster (at least when using Webcamoid). If the images don't appear, and show the alt text I provided, it's a coin with a silver outer circle, and a gold inner-circle (where the details are present). Source: almost 3 years ago
